A Rosneft delegation headed by President and Chairman of the Management Board Igor Sechin took part in the forum on September 21.
At the beginning of the day, Rosneft concluded a memorandum of cooperation and partnership with the state Strategic Initiatives Agency for the Promotion of New Projects (ASI) to implement projects and initiatives aimed at creating an effective long-term mechanism to provide expert support in the main areas of Rosneft’s innovative development.
The agreement will create demand for innovations for Rosneft and the industry as a whole. There are plans to involve ASI experts and specialists that have experience in preparing roadmaps across a number of business development areas in reviewing Rosneft’s innovation projects, evaluating their efficiency and implementation and promoting the results of these projects both at Company facilities and across the industry as a whole. The document was initialled by Rosneft President Igor Sechin and Andrey Nikitin, General Director of the Strategic Initiatives Agency for the Promotion of New Projects, an autonomous non-commercial organisation.
Mr Sechin then met with journalists from leading Russian and international media outlets, answering a number of questions on issues relevant to the Company’s development.
Rosneft also signed an important agreement with Russian gas giant Gazprom at the forum in the presence of Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev. Under the cooperation agreement, the two companies will create and jointly operate offshore field development infrastructure. The agreement was signed by Igor Sechin, President and Chairman of the Management Board at Rosneft, and Alexei Miller, Chairman of the Management Board at Gazprom.
Rosneft President Igor Sechin also participated in business roundtables at the forum, as well as holding talks with the Company’s business partners.
