Rosneft Signs Direct Contract for Crude Oil Deliveries to Czech Republic

On the 21st June 2013 at the St Petersburg International Economic Forum Rosneft has signed a contract for crude oil deliveries via pipeline Druzhba to the Czech Republic. The buyer of the crude oil for the Czech Republic is PKN ORLEN S.A. The value of the agreement amounts to approximately 7 billions US dollars at the current market prices, the agreed volume of deliveries is up to 8 million tons. The contract with PKN ORLEN S.A. is agreed with deliveries until the 30th June 2016.

Commenting on the agreement, Rosneft President Igor Sechin said: “Concluding direct long-term agreements complies with the Rosnefts’s strategy in respect of creating shareholder value through the increase of the crude oil sales efficiency as well as considers consumers’ interests and strengthens energy security of Europe.“

“Rosneft is one of the main partners for PKN ORLEN S.A. for crude oil supplies. The cooperation of the companies is being built on the basis of sustainable and long-term repetetive and stable cooperation and fair market mechanisms.” – said Mr.Jacek Krawiec, the President and CEO of PKN ORLEN S.A.

Notes for Editors:

Rosneft has a contract for crude oil deliveries to Poland via “Druzhba” pipeline with PKN ORLEN S.A. signed 01.02.2013. This agreement provides for the delivery of about 18 mln tons of crude oil until 31.01.2016.

Since the beginning of 2005 Rosneft has been steadily delivering crude oil to Poland via pipeline “Druzhba” under quarterly export schedules issued by the Russian Ministry of Energy, with volumes of up to 5.3 mln tons per year.
