Rosneft Chairman of the Management Board Igor Sechin and Krasnoyarsk Territory Governor Victor Tolokonsky, visited Vankorneft employees in the hospital, who were injured in a crash landing of Mi-8 helicopter of Turukhan air company. Igor Sechin and Victor Tolokonsky appreciated high professional skills of the doctors who took all appropriate actions, only a few hours after the accident, to save the lives of the injured.
Krasnoyarsk Territory Government and Rosneft rendered all-round support and social assistance to the families of the victims and those who were injured in the accident. During the visit, Igor Sechin said that the Company will provide additional payments. Also, a decision was taken on special cash bonuses to be paid to the local people who took a direct part in rescuing the passengers of Mi-8 helicopter, Turukhan air company.
Earlier, the Company defrayed the funeral costs and assumed control over payment of insurance premiums under the existing contracts. All families of the workers killed in the accident have been taken into Rosneft custody. An individual list of benefits and guarantees has been provided for each family that lost its supporter.
Igor Sechin and Victor Tolokonsky approved a specific action plan aimed at improving the air safety while transporting the Company employees. A decision was made to establish an emergency station in Igarka, to make the standards more rigorous defining the requirements to operation of aviation equipment of the contractors, to train and prepare the pilots for emergency situations, using special simulators.
“We cannot allow such accidents to happen in the future. The Company will keep working hard to implement the program of contractor aviation equipment replacement by its own aircraft fleet, it is exploring the possibility of using modern light aviation, localizing its manufacture. This task gains special significance as Rosneft expands its operations in the remote regions, including continental shelf of the Russian Federation”, Igor Sechin said.
Igor Sechin and Victor Tolokonsky also discussed the issues at their meeting related to Rosneft operation in the region, including the development of the Company oil and gas projects.
The parties also noted successful implementation of the cooperation agreement between Rosneft and Krasnoyarsk Territory Government signed at the XIX Saint-Petersburg International Economic Forum.
Igor Sechin held a business meeting with General Directors of Rosneft producing subsidiaries, where Krasnoyarsk Governor also participated. The issues discussed at the meeting concerned the Company objectives of crude production enhancement, development of oil and gas projects and in-company oilfield services, cost optimization and improvement of procurement procedures.
